Course Overview
Falls from height, falling objects, structural failures and unauthorised alterations are among the most common risks associated with scaffold use.
This course provides learners with an understanding of scaffold safety, legal responsibilities and the hazards associated with working on or around scaffold structures. Learners will gain the knowledge needed to recognise unsafe conditions, understand scaffold inspections and tagging systems, and follow safe working practices.
By increasing awareness and competence, Scaffold Awareness training helps reduce accidents, improve compliance with health and safety legislation and create a safer working environment for everyone on site.

No. This is an awareness course and does not qualify delegates to erect, alter or dismantle scaffolding. These activities should only be carried out by trained and competent scaffolders.
The training helps reduce accidents, improve hazard awareness, support legal compliance and promote safer working practices when working on or around scaffolding.
Scaffolding should be inspected before first use, after substantial alteration, following adverse weather conditions and at intervals not exceeding seven days.
While there is no specific legal requirement to hold a Scaffold Awareness certificate, employers must ensure workers have adequate information, instruction and training to work safely.
